What Accessories Does a Dog Need?
There are many different types of dog accessories and supplies on the market today. Still, there are some accessories which we would regard as essentials when it comes to looking after your four-legged friend.
Dog leads, collars or harnesses, beds, and feeding and drinking bowls are accessories that we would recommend to all dog owners. Grooming and cleaning products are also important accessories to have on hand in our opinion!
Is it Better for a Dog to Wear a Harness or a Collar?
This depends on a number of factors including the size of your dog, their pulling tendencies and your dog’s strength. Ultimately, both collars and harnesses can be suitable for any breed and size of a dog.
Generally speaking, if your dog is strong and has a tendency to pull and lunge whilst on its walkies, a harness is usually the better option. A harness will give you much more control over your dog and will distribute the pulling force more evenly across their body in comparison to a collar.
On the other hand, if your dog doesn’t pull excessively whilst on its lead, a collar will be suitable.
